Monkeywiz

I’ve just recently gotten back into sculpting, and am working on a few projects in polymer clays, and even more recently trying out some modelling and tooling waxes. Here are a few examples of my recent work. Click for a larger image.

‘Jerry’
Starting with my CG character, I first made a polymer clay model, which I then took a silicone mold of and cast several copies in a lightweight resin. The models are primed but not yet painted.

‘Penguins’
Using an unused earlier concept design for the main character in ‘Ice-Blade Penguin 2′, I created a simple penguin model in polymer clay and again made a silicone mold and cast several copies to allow me to customize the blanks as individual gifts.
